LATEST data predicts that Reform UK would take two of Barnsley’s three seats if a general election was to be called.
Election Maps UK – who gather the latest polling data to monitor public opinion on the leading political party – have released information that shows growing support for the Nigel Farage-led party.
According to their statistics, if an election were to be held today then Reform UK would take Labour MP Stephanie Peacock’s Barnsley South seat with just over 43 per cent of the vote and an eight per cent majority.
Predictions show Barnsley North MP Dan Jarvis to be in a stronger position, losing to Reform by only one per cent, with them acquiring 40.2 per cent of the vote.
Analysts predict that Penistone and Stocksbridge would remain Labour, though have noticed a growing support of the fledgling party which won five seats in last year’s election.
