THE Barnsley branch of Parkinson’s UK are on the hunt for more volunteers.
The group, who operate out of Emmanuel Church on Huddersfield Road, support people with Parkinson’s and their families.
They are now on the lookout for people to help them throughout this year.
Terry Kendall, the group’s chair, said: “Our group prides itself on being very active. In order to continue our full programme of events for members, we have to continually raise funds.
“This involves, for example, holding collection days and organising awareness stands in the town centre and at Penistone Show.
“Could you or someone you know help us to plan and run our activities or assist in fund-raising?
“We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our team of volunteers.
“So this is a heartfelt plea to our lovely members to help us whenever possible with our endeavours.”
