SEVERAL Barnsley residents are due to appear in court after having money seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

A HEARING date has been set regarding cash which was seized from a Royston man.

A sum of £40,000 was taken from Robert Taylor, of Birkdale Road, by the police.

The 37-year-old is set to appear at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on June 23 to answer charges relating to the Proceeds of Crime Act.

CASH which was seized from a Barnsley woman under the Proceeds of Crime Act will continue to be detained until a hearing in June.

Jayne Pepper, of Hopewell Street, had £3,000 taken by police. She will appear at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on June 23.

CASH which was seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act will continue to be detained until a hearing in May. A sum totalling £4,000 was taken from Ian Burns, of Wellington Crescent, Barnsley. The 49-year-old is set to appear at the hearing, at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court, on May 27.

A HEARING date has been set regarding cash which was seized from a Goldthorpe man. Thomas Guest, of Furlong Road, had £17,700 seized from his possession under the Proceeds of Crime Act. The 29-year-old’s next hearing is set to be held at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on September 11.
