PUPILS at a local primary school were given an ‘unforgettable’ experience when two Barnsley FC players made a surprise visit last week.

The visit was part of the Premier League Primary Stars initiative, a programme that Joseph Locke Primary School proudly participates in.

First-team players Corey O’Keeffe and Davis Keillor-Dunn were on hand to answer questions and share insights into life as a professional footballer.

Corey said: “It’s always a pleasure to come out into the community and meet the young supporters. Seeing their enthusiasm and love for the game is truly inspiring.”

School officer at Barnsley FC Community Trust, Macauley Hobson, added: “We are incredibly grateful to the players for taking the time to visit Joseph Locke.

“Their presence and encouragement has truly inspired our pupils, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

“Thank you for being such fantastic role models.”
