OVER £5,000 has been raised in two days for a four-year-old boy who tragically lost his battle with leukaemia.
Jake Croft started to show signs of being unwell just four weeks before he was diagnosed with the disease earlier this month.
He had stage four neuroblastoma, a cancerous tumour that develops in nerve tissue, usually just above the kidneys.
He sadly passed away on Friday night.
Donations flooded in from well-wishers and over £3,500 had been raised in one day, before Dearne-based Gala Tent Ltd pledged £1,269 to take the family to their £5,000 target.
Friend Sarah Berry, who set up a Go Fund Me page, said: "Jake's parents, Claire and Stuart, are overwhelmed with all the donations. Jake will get the amazing send off that he deserves."
