A LOCAL councillor has likened the latest bin problems to ‘a bit like the film Groundhog Day’!
Independent councillor Jake Lodge has voiced his frustrations about the ongoing situation on Facebook.
He said: “Unfortunately, there are still outstanding recycling collections in Worsbrough and like many residents I'm in the dark – we were advised on February 4, that collections would be back on track by February 14, but that hasn't transpired.
“The update from Barnsley Council promised last week hasn't been published and the social media channels haven't covered it in two weeks. Earlier this week, I took this to the Executive Director and no response has yet come, nor has an apology from those responsible for waste collections.
“I'll continue to do all I can to hold the Council to account on this prolonged disruption, but for now please keep bins out for collection.”
