TWO people will appear in court next week accused of fly-tipping offences.

A Darfield woman who is accused of committing fly-tipping offences will appear in court on Thursday.

Barnsley Council say Mary Purcell, of Snape Hill Road, deposited waste on Upperwood Court in her home village on or before September 4 last year.

The 51-year-old allegedly gave the waste to an unauthorised carrier and will appear at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

And another suspected fly-tipper will appear before the same court also on Thursday..

Michael Cash, of Reservoir Road, Birmingham, was charged for allegedly dumping waste on Barnsley Road, Darfield, last year.

The 35-year-old is due to appear following a council-led prosecution.
