THREE men have been arrested and charged in relation to a significant drugs line in Barnsley.

Last Monday (February 10) while out on patrol, Barnsley officers spotted a vehicle they believed to be involved in supplying Class A drugs. The occupants

of the vehicle were searched by officers and were found to be in possession of suspected Class A drugs, a quantity of cash and a knuckleduster.

Evan James, 34, of Laithes Lane, Barnsley; Jordan Brettoner, 32, of Riber Avenue, Barnsley, and Shamrez Rashid, 33, of Moorcroft Road, Dewsbury, were all arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, crack cocaine and ketamine. Additionally, Brettoner has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

All three made their first appearance before Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (February 12) and have been remanded in custody ahead of their next appearance before Sheffield Crown Court on March 12 2025.
