OFFICERS from Barnsley West changed their shifts over the weekend to conduct extra late burglary patrols.
This was due to a number of recent incidents across Penistone, Dodworth and Ardsley.
Over Friday and Saturday nights 13 people were searched for theft and drug offences and one of these was found in possession of a large quantity of Class A drugs.
A possession with intent to supply investigation is ongoing.
A 40-year-old male from Wellingborough, Northamptonshire and a 49-year-old male from Dodworth were arrested for driving over the prescribed limit of alcohol and drugs.
The 40-year-old male was charged and will be appearing in court soon.
The 49-year-old male was bailed pending results from blood tests.
