Councillors do their bit to keep area 'clean, green and looking its best'

LOCAL councillors joined Barnsley Council’s south area caretaker team last week for a community clean up on Summer Lane car park.

Activities included litter picking, hedge strimming and removing fly-tipped rubbish in the area.

Couns Robert Frost and James Higginbottom said: “We were pleased to join council operatives to take part in a community clean up on Summer Lane car park – big thanks to Andrea, Reece and Dan for their continued hard work in the local community.

“This is a demonstration that by working collectively we can do our bit to keep Wombwell clean, green and looking its best.”
