BARNSLEY kids scooped eight medals at the 2016 South Yorkshire school games.
More than 1,800 primary and secondary pupils from across the county competed in the games winter festival at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield.
Pupils took part in 23 competitions across seven sports.
Greenacre School took home both the gold and silver medals for boccia.
Gold medals were also won by Upperwood School for advanced gymnastics, Carlton Community college for cheerleading, Outwood Academy Shafton for handball, and Holgate School for new age kurling.
Horizon Community College scooped bronze for cheerleading.
