LOCALS are rallying around to support Barnsley lad Sam Nixon as he continues to compete in ITV's Dancing On Ice.
Sam – who was famous on the show Pop Idol before starting a presenting career with friend Mark Rhodes – is partnered with professional skater Alexandra Schauman.
He said: “I’ve watched previous series of Dancing On Ice and I must admit Ray Quinn is the one that I’ve been looking at a lot – which is stupid because there’s no way I’m going to be anywhere near as good as that.”
He's been in the bottom two but is continuing to impress with judges regularly complimenting his skating style.
