BARNSLEY Hospital is closing its Outpatients Department for appointments today due to adverse weather and hazardous travel conditions.
A spokesperson said: ‘Our teams will be in touch with everyone to confirm their appointment is postponed, and to organise a new appointment time. Please be patient as we anticipate our phone lines will be busier than normal.
‘The hospital site remains open for visitors. If you intend to visit today, please ensure you are safe to travel.
‘At this time, we expect to resume our normal appointment schedule on Tuesday January 7.
