HAVING already raised hundreds for charity, a Barnsley travel agency is once again running a fundraiser – and offering a free city break as part of an upcoming competition.
Hays Travel Barnsley, based in The Alhambra, has supported various charities throughout the years.
In the past, they have successfully raised £622 for Headway Brain Injury by organising an exciting competition, where winners enjoyed the city break of a lifetime to Prague.
Following this, they launched another competition, offering a chance to win four football match tickets to see Barnsley Football Club, along with an official Barnsley football shirt.
With the support of Toby Tyke, Barnsley FC’s beloved mascot, they took to the town centre with a collection bucket, meeting local residents and raising an incredible £579 for Andy’s Man Club, a vital mental health charity encouraging men to speak out and seek support.
To celebrate the festive season, they organised a coach trip to York Christmas Markets, selling tickets to raise funds for Focus4Vision, a charity that helps partially sighted and blind children participate in sports across Barnsley – that raised £815 and they aren’t stopping there.
Right now they are offering a three-night trip to Amsterdam through a competition which raises money for a trip-of-a-lifetime for a young girl from Yorkshire.
They are sponsoring her travel to Disneyland Paris through the charity Flamingo Chicks, where she will perform as part of a dance troupe.
Tickets are only £10, so pop along and see the team in branch today to take part.
