AN amateur dramatics group is letting fresh talent take the lead as they bring the story of Aladdin back to the stage with their latest pantomime.
Members of the Wombwell and District Amateur Operatic Society will grace the stage this week with their annual pantomime, which runs from Thursday to Sunday at the George Street Theatre in Wombwell.
Pantomime regular Chris Wakeford will be returning to the role of Widow Twankey and joined by Colleen Owen in the comedy role of Wishee Washee.
But the leading roles are being taken on by complete newcomers, with Andrea Eustis set to play the titular role of Aladdin and Isabella Woodcock joining as Princess Mandarin.
Tickets are available via the society by calling 07905 764693 or online.
