Team digs deep to help create 'cleaner, greener community'

LOCAL councillors James Higginbottom, Brenda Eastwood and Robert Frost joined Dan Perry and Reece Millthorpe from the council’s caretaker team in Wombwell last week.

Together, they helped prepare the raised beds ahead of planting.

They said: “It was a great pleasure to be out with our brilliant South Area Caretaker Team preparing the raised beds at the bottom of John Street.

"Between us, we turned over the soil, cleared the area of weeds and litter picked the surrounding streets in preparation for the raised beds to be planted up.

"Big thanks to Andrea, Reece and Dan for their continued hard work and support in making Wombwell a cleaner, greener community.”
