A LOCAL charity which supports disabled people is now delivering new community outreach sessions thanks to extra funding

DIAL Barnsley were able to start the sessions in Monk Bretton and Carlton.

Bosses say that since launching in September, the sessions have been received well by those in attendance.

A spokesperson said: “To date, we’ve secured funding across nearly every ward in Barnsley, ensuring that disabled residents can access crucial welfare advice close to home.

“Our specialist advisors simplify the often complicated and stressful process of completing welfare claim forms – including Personal Independence Payment, attendance allowance, and carers allowance – all free of charge.

“This service is truly a lifeline – regular feedback highlights how it reduces anxiety and provides relief.”
