RESURFACING work will take place from next Monday on a busy Monk Bretton road for approximately three weeks.
The first phase of the work will take place on Burton Road will see a road closure in place between the Fish Dam Lane Roundabout and Bromcliffe Park from 9am to 3pm each working day from Monday January 6 for approximately two weeks.
The second phase of works will see a road closure in place between Burton Crescent and West Green Avenue from 6pm to 5am on Sunday January 19 and 7pm to 5am from Monday January 20 to Thursday January 23.
Barnsley Council says the roads will be open after each working shift and signed diversion routes will be in place during this time. Access for residents will only be permissible when safe to do so.
A council spokesperson said: “Please do not park in the affected areas during working hours.
