TWO people have been charged in connection with the murder of Joy Billam from Garden Street, Goldthorpe, who died on Friday 30 September.

Joy's body was found in the boot of her purple Ford Fiesta Fusion, which was parked on Doncaster Road, near to the junction with the A635 at around midday on Saturday 1 October.

Post mortem results revealed that the 46-year-old had died from strangulation.

Raymond Billam, 63, from Doncaster will appear at Barnsley Magistrates' Court this morning (Tuesday 4 October), charged with her murder. A 16-year-old boy has been charged with the offence of assisting offenders. He will also be appearing at Court today.
