POLICE have this evening renewed their appeal for information as they continue their search for missing Barnsley man Peter – and they have asked anyone who attended a fishing competition at Elsecar reservoir on Sunday to get in touch if they may have seen him.
Officers believe Peter may have been in the vicinity of Elsecar Reservoir at around 7am on Sunday, and are appealing for anyone who may have seen him to come forward
He was last seen in the Hoyland area at around 8am on Sunday and has not been heard from since.
A fishing competition was held at the reservoir at this time and it is possible that someone who attended the event saw Peter or his car in the area at that time. Peter’s car is a brown Vauxhall Meriva.
Peter, aged 69, is white, 5ft 8ins tall with short, grey hair and a beard. He is known to usually wear a sweatshirt and jeans.
