LOCKE Park bonfire is ready for tonight’s event – and limited tickets are still available.
Gates and funfair opens at 6pm and there will be two fire displays for the first time.
The first will be a small, child-friendly firework display at 7pm, which will be set off before the bonfire is lit. The second is the main event which will be later on in the evening, after the bonfire has got going.
The event is organised and run by a team of volunteers from Barnsley Round Table with the sole aim of raising money for local charities and good causes.
A number of local causes have recently benefited from profits from last year’s event so the money raised does not leave the local area.
A Round Table recruitment tent will also be open all night to allow visitors to learn more about the organisation and what it does.
The event consists of a funfair with food and drink stalls (no alcohol), a large bonfire built out of unusable donated fire doors and a 15-minute fireworks display.
Gates and funfair open at 6pm.
Small child-friendly fireworks at 7pm.
Bonfire lighting is 7:15pm.
Fireworks display is 8pm.
