RESIDENTS will be hearing from Barnsley Council from next week as they ensure their electoral register is up to date.
The council is checking the register this year to ensure that any resident who is eligible to vote can do so.
A spokesperson for the council said: “If you’ve given us your email address, you’ll receive an email from our team this week to check we’ve got the right information.
“We’ll also be contacting residents by post from August 30.
Please respond as soon as you can so you’ll be ready to vote in upcoming elections.”
