POLICE are appealing for anyone with footage or information to come forward and assist with an investigation into a road traffic collision in Barnsley at the weekend.

On Saturday (February 22) at 2.30pm, road policing officers responded to a collision involving a cyclist and a white Jaguar XE on Jockey Road at the junction with Coates Lane near Oxspring.

The cyclist, aged 33, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.

Officers are keen to hear from any witnesses to the collision that they have not yet spoken to, and anyone who may have dashcam footage prior to the collision, to understand the circumstances.
