PLANS to bring a new dog grooming salon to the town centre have been approved by Barnsley Council.

An application was originally submitted in October for work to take place on Victoria Road. These plans were given the green light by the council’s planning board last week.

PLANS to install 56 solar panels onto the roof of a Royston school have been approved by the council. The work will take place at Meadstead Academy, on Meadstead Drive. Plans were originally submitted in June before being given the green light last week.

An application was submitted last week for work to take place at the site in Stainborough. Six neighbouring properties have been made aware of the plans with no appeals to date.
