MP Marie Tidball visited a local primary school recently to talk about the curriculum and plans for the Government’s new Breakfast Club scheme.
The MP for Penistone and Stocksbridge visited Gawber Primary School and also answered questions from pupils on The School Council.
“It was a real treat to meet headteacher, Dawn Bradshaw, and Chair of Governors, Emma Casimir, at Gawber Primary School to talk with them about the curriculum and our Government’s new Breakfast Club scheme,” said Ms Tidball.
“The highlight was meeting all the children across the school and seeing their wonderful, bright, and creative classrooms and hallways. The wellbeing space was particularly impressive!
“I also received an excellent grilling from the School Council, who asked really thoughtful questions about my role as an MP, and truly are a credit to the school.
“Gawber Primary School is doing an amazing job inspiring the next generation of leaders, and it was a pleasure to meet some of their lunchtime monitors and other children who take on leadership roles supporting their peers.”
