GEORGE and Isla have been crowned as the most popular names chosen by parents for their babies in Barnsley.
The Office for National Statistics has announced the most popular names for boys and girls born in 2022, using the latest census’ data.
Isla was the most popular girl’s name in Barnsley with 18 babies given the name, replacing Ava.
Meanwhile, George was the most common boy’s name in the area, which saw a total of 26 babies given the name, unseating Oliver.
