A MULTI-VILLAGE anti-speeding scheme will continue in the following months after it was retained as a priority by the police.
Vernon Road and Kingwell in Worsbrough, Tank Row and Grange Lane in Stairfoot, Wortley Village’s stretch of the A629 and Green Lane in Dodworth have all been given attention in recent months by Penistone-based officers.
It was announced by officers last week that it will be retained after six motorists were caught breaking limits during an operation.
A spokesperson said: “We are currently in the planning stages of speeding operations which will continue to take place in all our ward areas.”
