TEAMS from across the country will travel to Manvers Lake today to take part in the charity shield dragon boat race.
Dozens of people will take part in the event with thousands of locals expected to watch on.
A spokesperson for Manvers Lake said: “We will be having stalls, face painting and other attractions to keep everyone entertained throughout the day.
“The day will end with a presentation to the top three teams.
“Each team who come first, second and third will receive medals and trophies to keep.
“The winners will also receive their name engraved on the coveted Manvers Lake Charity Shield, which will be displayed on site for all to see.
“The winning team will also receive £400 donation to their chosen charity or non-profit organisation.”
