COUNCIL bosses have revealed support will be available to residents who may be at risk of falling into housing trouble.
Following the lifting of the eviction ban in May, Barnsley Council has linked up with other local authorities across Yorkshire to become a part of the Mortgage Breathing Space project.
The project offers interest-free loans to people who may be struggling with mortgage payments.
A spokesperson for the council said: “Following the lifting of the eviction ban, we want to make sure the right support is in place for any of our residents who may be at risk of falling into housing trouble.”
