BARNSLEY South MP Stephanie Peacock is encouraging youngsters in her constituency to take part in the winter reading challenge.
The challenge is a fun online programme that encourages children to keep up their reading across December to February.
It’s free to take part on wintermini.org.uk, where children can collect rewards for logging and reviewing books.
Ms Peacock said: “If you have children of school age or younger, why not get them involved with the winter reading challenge?
“This is a great confidence booster, and aims to keep children reading throughout December until February.”
