FAMILIES who may be struggling to keep their house warm this winter are running out of time to apply for a grant to help towards costs.
The Covid-19 winter grant scheme can help families whose children access free school meal to cover fuel and energy costs.
A spokesperson for Barnsley Council said: “Families will be able to claim a one-off grant payment of £80 per household.
“All applications must be submitted before the scheme closes on January 31.”
