TWO men will spend 12 hours underwater today, all in the name of charity.
Ian Shaw, 58, of Chantery Grove and Adam Speight, 38 from East Ardsley will be taking place in a 12 hour scuba dive challenge to raise money for the Pilgrim Bandits Charity.
The charity is made up of special forces veterans who use their unique training and experience to help and inspire injured personnel to live life to the full.
They went underwater at 7am at Robin Hood Watersports, Heckmondwike and will remain underwater until 7pm, changing their gas cylinders and adding any additional suits on underwater.
Ian said: "It's a hard challenge as we are at risk of hyperthermia but I am looking forward to it. It will really test our endurance."
Three servicemen who have been injured in the war will also be diving during the scuba dive challenge.
