BARNSLEY Football Club’s charity wing are set to take centre stage at Oakwell tomorrow as part of their ‘takeover day’.
The Barnsley FC Community Trust delivers charitable and community activities across the town.
They reach around 15,000 people every season – and the spotlight will be on them at tomorrow’s League One fixture against Cambridge United.
A range of activities are planned before kick-off and during half-time to engage supporters and promote the trust’s impact.
Fans can expect an exciting matchday experience, including interactive stalls, pre-game activities, and half-time events showcasing the projects and initiatives led by the trust.
Kieron Campbell, chief executive officer of Barnsley FC Community Trust, said: “We’re thrilled to take over the game and show fans the incredible work we do in the community.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with supporters and raise awareness of our programmes.
“The trust, which works closely with Barnsley FC, plays a key role in supporting the community through participation, education, health, and inclusion programmes.
“The matchday takeover will highlight the charity’s commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of local people.”
