THE Alhambra Shopping Centre in Barnsley has received a national award for its car park facilities for the ninth year running.
The Park Mark by the British Parking Association (BPA) recognises the shopping centre's safe parking facilities.
A BPA spokesperson said: "The car parking facilities at the Alhambra is very good and passed with ease in 2015."
An investment from landlords F&C Reit has seen an upgrade to the lighting system by installing LED's through out the car park.
Dave Probyn, operations manager, said: "The Alhambra has the only car park in Barnsley town centre with the Park Mark due to no other having the same levels of security, lighting and cleanliness that we have.
