POLICE are appealing for information following the death of a sheep in a suspected dog attack in Wentworth last week.

It is reported that in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday February 5, two sheep were attacked in a field in Wentworth.

A vet immediately attended, and it is believed that the sheep’s injuries were sustained from a large animal, believed to have been a dog.

One sheep, which was a family pet, was so severely injured it had to be put to sleep.

The other sheep sustained significant wounds and is receiving care.
