POLICE are trying to find the owners of a large quantity of jewellery found in a stolen vehicle at the weekend.
A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information in relation to large quantities of jewellery recovered from a stolen vehicle in the Shafton area of Barnsley.
“In the early hours of Saturday morning (December 28), officers recovered a grey Vauxhall Astra from Ashwell Close.
“Suspected stolen jewellery was found inside the vehicle and we are now issuing an appeal to locate the owners of these items.
“If you own any of the pieces of jewellery and can prove ownership of the items, please contact us on 101, quoting investigation number 14/228117/24.
