SEVERAL roads across the borough will be affected by roadworks in the coming days.
MOTORISTS have been warned of potential delays in Ward Green this week. Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Kingwell Road from today (Monday) until Sunday. Cadent are responsible for the work.
ROADWORKS will be placed outside Oakwell later this month. From March 10 to March 12, Northern Powergrid will be conducting work on Grove Street. Delays are unlikely according to the council.
A ROYSTON road will have temporary traffic lights placed on it for three months. From March 10 until May 9, the lights will be placed on Newton Avenue. Northern Gas Networks are responsible for the work, which could cause delays.
YORKSHIRE Water work in Dodworth could cause delays this week. Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Whinby Road from tomorrow (Tuesday) until Wednesday. Motorists have been warned that delays are possible.
TEMPORARY traffic lights will be placed on one Hoyland street this week. From 9.30am until 3.30pm on Thursday, the lights will be placed on Market Street. Barnsley Council are responsible for the work which could cause delays.
A DARFIELD road will be closed for one day next week. From 9.30am to 2.30pm on March 12, Cliff Road – from number 25 to Attlee Crescent – will be closed. Silt and debris in the pumpstation will be removed while the road is closed.
