A FUN community event is set to explore Christmas traditions from around the world.
Worsbrough Ward Alliance is hosting Flavours of Christmas, on Thursday, December 12, from 3pm until 6pm.
The event is aiming to bring people from across Worsbrough together to celebrate with food, music, and culture, helping everyone feel more connected this Christmas.
The event invites local residents to explore Christmas traditions from around the world. Visitors can enjoy tasting traditional Christmas dishes from places like England, Africa, Bulgaria, Poland, Latvia, the Middle East, China, India, and Palestine.
There will be fun entertainment, including a local brass band and performances that show off the different cultures in the community. For families, the big treat will be the free Santa’s grotto, where kids can meet Santa and get an early Christmas gift!
Coun Wendy Cain, speaking ahead of the event, emphasised the importance of bringing the community together to enjoy all the wonderful traditions we keep throughout the festive period.
“The Flavours of Christmas event is a fantastic opportunity for the Worsbrough community to come together, celebrate our traditions, and strengthen our community. By sharing food and music, we can learn more about each other’s cultures and build a stronger Worsbrough. I encourage everyone to come along, enjoy the festive fun, and make this a celebration to remember.”
The event at Worsbrough Sports and Development Association is free to attend and open to all Worsbrough residents.
