IT’S rare that five generations of a family get to sit together in one room – but for one local family they’ve achieved the milestone twice, two decades apart.
When Keya Wade was born in 1999 she marked the fifth living generation of her family.
Now, after Keya’s younger sister Tanesha Wade gave birth to young Myles Shobbrook on New Year’s Eve, the family have marked the landmark once again.
In fact the tight-knit family have a bit of a ritual going, as Myles’ great-great-grandmother Rose Creasey is 82, great-grandmother Janet Woollands is 62, grandmother Marie Wade is 42 and mum Tanesha is 22.
The group meet regularly, though admit it’s difficult to get everyone in the growing family – including Janet’s 11 grandchildren – together in one picture.
