Thousands raised at Bike Fest event

A BARNSLEY school has handed over thousands of pounds to local charities.

Outwood Academy Shafton held the very successful Bike Fest 2024 earlier this month.

Last week they handed over £5,600.78 to Yorkshire Air Ambulance and £190 to Barnsley Food Bank Partnership along with boxes of food which had been donated.

A Bike Fest spokesman said: “Thank you to every single person that contributed to the success of BikeFest and enabled us to raise such a huge amount of money!”
