A VIDEO of a man outwitting a mobile speed camera has gone viral online.

The footage, uploaded on to Facebook by Neil Woodcock, shows a man in a mobility scooter parked in front of a mobile speed camera van on Laithes Lane.

The man in the 30-second clip is seen holding something in front of the lens, appearing to prevent motorists from being caught driving too fast.

The footage has been viewed over 85,000 times and shared 970 times. Several comments on the video appear to support the man’s actions, with one even commenting ‘give the man a medal’.

South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership have been notified of the video but were unavailable to comment.
