A PUB'S £500,000 renovation has created 30 new jobs.

The Strafford Arms has been closed for six weeks and reopened last Thursday to show off its new makeover.

Fine and Country Inns, which invested the money, has redecorated in a traditional style to reflect the village's charm and character.

A chef has been hired and the pub will now serve British and French dishes as part of an evening menu, as well as all the best pub classics.

Licensee Gary Hunt, managing director of Fine and Country Inns, said: "The pub looks fantastic and I can't believe the transformation."
