PAST and present Barnsley FC players paid a visit to the ‘Reminiscent Reds’ group last week.

Barry Murphy, Kayode Odejayi, Barry Cotter and Donovan Pines stopped by to take part in the group designed to help combat social isolation.

Sessions are open to individuals and incorporates activities and inspire fans, deepening their connections and sense of belonging.

Head of health and wellbeing at Barnsley FC Community Trust, Sean Margison, said: “It’s been great to welcome the players down to the group.

“It has given our participants the opportunity to engage with them and go head-to-head in the weekly quiz.

“We’d also like to thank Burendo for coming along and bringing some sweet treats.”

The Reminiscent Reds programme runs every Wednesday 2pm to 3.30pm in The Ozone at Oakwell Stadium.
