OFF-ROAD bikes plaguing a Darfield field are being combatted by the police.
Barnsley South’s Neighbourhood Policing Team confirmed they have created a plan to allay residents’ complaints about the hotspot, off Inkerman Road.
A spokesperson said: “We’ve created a plan to combat this which will see increased patrols in the area and work with the police’s off-road bike team.
“Partnership work is being undertaken with Berneslai Homes around tenants using bikes in an illegal manner.
“Council wardens will be using CCTV-equipped vehicles to gather evidence.”
