PUPILS at a local school enjoyed a visit from Santa Claus and adventure into a winter wonderland last week.

Laithes Primary School in New Lodge opened their own ‘Lapland’ for pupils, with a snow machine, hot chocolate and plenty of treats.

Woolley Edge Christmas Tree Farm provided some trees to help the school create a makeshift forest and children took part in a variety of craft making activities.

A separate event was also held for pupils with additional needs who struggle with busy crowds.
