PLANS to convert a former pub into eight new apartments have been approved by the council.
An application was submitted to the council last month to start work on Dobie Street at ‘The Morning Star’ pub which has been closed for more than a decade.
Four one-bedroom apartments, one one-bedroom duplex apartment and three studio apartments are being mooted.
These plans were given the green light by the council earlier this week.
