A TEENAGER has been arrested following a collision in Wombwell earlier this week.

Police were called to reports of a crash on Barnsley Road at 1.18pm on Tuesday.

It’s reported that a black Honda motorbike, a grey Ford Transit van and a black Kia Sorento – which was parked up – were all involved in the collision.

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested following the crash and was taken to hospital with ‘serious injuries’.

A spokesperson for the force said: “At 1.18pm, we were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Barnsley Road, Wombwell.

“It is reported that a black Honda motorbike, a grey Ford Transit van, and a parked black Kia Sorento were involved in a collision.

“A 16-year-old boy has been arrested and has been transported to hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

“It is reported that another person who left the scene following the collision also suffered injuries.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
