A LOCAL care home, who last week put out a Christmas card appeal, has reached out to say thank you to a very special little girl.
Hoyland Hall Residential Home asked people to remember their residents when writing their Christmas cards and this morning they received a special delivery from four-year-old Rosie.
A spokesperson for the home said: “Following our Christmas card appeal, we are absolutely delighted that we have started to receive some Christmas cheer in the post!
“Today, we received this wonderful package in the post from four-year-old Rosie.
“Rosie’s mum, if you are reading this, please tell her from us at Hoyland Hall residential home, what a special little girl she is. She has absolutely melted our hearts and is top of our Christmas card list this year!”
The note attached to the Christmas cards from Rosie said: “We hope your residents enjoy their Christmas cards. I explained the appeal to my little girl aged four and she immediately wanted to go and buy some cards.”
The Hoyland Hall spokesperson added: “From the 1st of December we will begin handing out the Christmas cards, we hope to receive enough to give them out each day of December, so if you can, please keep them coming, you will absolutely make someone’s day!"
Cards can be sent to Hoyland Hall Residential Home, Market Street, Hoyland S74 0EX.
