POLICE-IMPOSED protection notices have been handed to two antisocial behaviour perpetrators.
Darhaven, in Darfield, had been identified as a hotspot for crime and antisocial behaviour in recent months with locals complaining to the police about the issues they faced.
Barnsley South’s Neighbourhood Policing Team – alongside Barnsley Council staff – gave two people community protection notices which effectively ban them from the area.
A police spokesperson said: “At our PACT meeting local residents raised issues at an address on Darhaven with unwelcome visitors attending.
“Officers have conducted regular visits at the address with council partners.
“This led to two people being removed from the address and a CPN was issued to both of them.”
