BARNSLEY FC icon Bruce Dyer is delighted that some of his young footballers have joined the club.

Ex-striker Bruce, who became football’s first £1m teenager in 1994, runs the Love Life Elite Academy in Grimethorpe.

Youngsters Freddie White, Joshua Harding, Lennon Johnson, Vinny Hartley, Jack Lowe and Richard Aina all attended the Yorkshire’s Got Football Talent scouting session earlier this year and were subsequently scouted by the Oakwell club.

Bruce said: “This year has been a great success.

“It’s been wonderful working with the Barnsley FC Academy and the Barnsley FC development centre at Oakwell to help find the next generation of players.”
